The client of this 40th st home came to us looking for a complete solution for their comfort needs when they were building their dream home. They were looking for a solution to their heating and cooling, water heater, gas fireplace, bbq, and central vacuum needs.
After going through the options on the market we installed the following products in their home.
Heating and Cooling:
Hybrid heat (dual fuel) system. This was accomplished with Payne high efficiency 2 stage natural gas furnace and a 2 Stage heat pump.
- Dual fuel system combine the strengths of a gas furnace with an electric heat pump to deliver the comfort and efficiency you need year-round to give you more control over your utility bills.
Water heater:
Tankless water heater with built-in recirculation pump. This was accomplished with a Navien NPE-A. The unit was sized so that the family could comfortably run a handful of fixtures at the same time and not run out of hot water. The footprint of the tankless unit is also small which allows for a cleaner and more compact install.
Modern Gas Fireplace insert:
Heat n Glo Primo 60 was what the client ultimately decided was the linear modern gas fireplace insert that they loved. The Primo insert has a very unique feature that only a couple of inserts on the market have. It’s equipped with heat management technology that redirects the flow of heat, sending warmth where you want it, all while maintaining safe outer glass and a cool wall so you can add a TV or heat sensitive materials above your fireplace. All gas fireplaces without this type of heat management solution manufactured after January 1, 2015, must come with mesh safety screens that fit over the glass.
BBQ:
Initially there were hopes of an outdoor kitchen, but due to budget constraints the scope of the outdoor cooking space was reduced and the couple decided to go for a premium stainless BBQ by Jackson Grill out of Canada. This unit is all stainless steel which allows the BBQ to look new even after years of use.
Central Vacuum System:
A Vacumaid central vacuum paired with a retractable hide-a-hose system was installed on all three floors. We were able to reduce the number of hose outlets to one per floor by utilizing longer hoses. This makes for a clean, finished look.
